TESTIMONIALS
"Since my initial contacts with the clinic, I have been most positively impressed with Dr. Libbie Shell's skills both professionally and personally. She is always pleasant, warm and cordial in her greeting. She is knowledgeable and skilled professionally. I've always been met on time and she makes me feel completely at ease. I would recommend her highly."

“I’ve experienced excellent service, I’d even say outstanding! This is my first experience with getting a hearing aid, and I’m very happy with my Phonak hearing aid. I’ve returned a few times for adjustments and each time I’ve received good service. I’ve told three friends about my hearing aid and how satisfied I’ve been with the Hearing Health Clinic. Hopefully they will be just as happy as I’ve been.”

“From the first day I put on my hearing aids at Libbie’s office, I have only taken them out at bedtime or to shower. They have given me a whole new outlook on life. Now I join in on conversations and actually hear what is being said. I didn’t realize just what I was not hearing. My advice is to put them on, give yourself time to adjust and to think positive. They won’t help sitting in a drawer."

“When I went for a hearing test, I was sure it was just my left ear that was losing hearing. Much to my surprise, it was both ears. My hearing aids have been in both ears since the day I received them. There is some adjustments you have to make, but I was determined. I am so glad I have these hearing aids now. It is very nice to not have friends repeating everything to me. Hearing is a very important part of life, don’t hesitate just do it.”

"I have been wearing hearing aids from Hearing Health Clinic since 2002. The first ones were ideal and I was completely satisfied and able to hear well, not only in small groups but also in larger ones, such as concerts, plays, etc.
In 2006, I had cancer of the hard palate and after surgery and radiation, my hearing as almost completely destroyed. It eventually did come back to a certain extent but the hearing aids were not sufficient with the damage. With new hearing aids, I am able to hear again in small groups and one on one.
I have had a wonderful relationship with Libbie Shell and the staff of Hearing Health Clinic. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty to give me all the support and encouragement I needed during the difficult time, and I am extremely grateful to them for being able to continue to have a social life, even with the damage I have sustained. I certainly can give them my highest recommendation”

“'Mom, go get some hearing aids’ is what I heard for over a year. I really don’t know why I waited so long to get them. In 2004, I realized I had to stop teaching kids class at church because I couldn’t figure out what the kids were saying. My grandkids, expecially the boys, were difficult to hear, too. I had to always ask my husband to face me so I could hear him. The surprise was on me when I finally had the hearing test. I thought it was the low voices but high voices were worse. The women in my life hadn’t told me I was ignoring them. In May 2006, I purchased behind the ear Phonak Eleva hearing aids. It’s wonderful to hear again. Dr. Libbie checks and cleans them every three months, and I haven’t had any trouble with them. It’s easy to reach up and change the volume whenever I need to. If you need hearing aids, please don’t delay. Sure, they are expensive, but every sound has been worth it and I am so thankful I have them”

“Many years ago, a friend and I were discussing a manager of several successful restaurants. He painted out that a good man surrounds himself with good men. I have known Dr. Emil Hecht since he was a little kid and filled prescriptions from his father, Dr. Morris Hecht. I am sure that the physicians of Bellingham Ear, Nose and Throat have chosen wisely the personnel to manage Hearing Health Clinic, from the receptionist on up to the Au.D.’s. Appointments are scheduled so that there is always a minimum of waiting. The Au.D.’s are knowledgeable and listen carefully for possible problems. They understand the possible problems and encourage a consultation if there are questions or difficulties. I obtain at least five years of use out of each pair of hearing aids I have purchased. I thought I kept a record of when I started using each pair-two sets, three, four? It’s been 1997 or before when I started, and they have enabled me to be an active member of my community service organizations.”

"I have been wearing hearing aids now for 36 years, and in that time have worked with 6 different dispensers of hearing aids. A hearing aid changed my life in the fifth grade, in 1973. In those years, I have naturally become opinionated and demanding about hearing aid quality. With that, I am very wary of Audiologists, and I am picky about who I will see. Some are worse than used car dealers. They have the cheapest stuff. Others are serious.
I hear about bad experiences from people whose loss happened later in life than mine, that the aids are sitting on the dresser, because they're noisy, or they squeak. With today's increasing technology, all of these problems can be mitigated! I haven't had feedback in over 10 years, even if I wear a motorcycle helmet! My first Digital aid cost 3000 dollars, I wore it four years, handed it down to my son, who wore it for another six years! That's a cost of 300 dollars a year for the best sound I had yet heard.
Here's my list of things I look for in an Audiologist:
- Listens to my dumb questions, e.g. "could I have more TREBLE?", and tries to adjust the aid to what I need
- Makes a good ear mold--and knows not to over grind it so it's too small
- Explains things well
- Doesn't try to sell me an aid when the one I am wearing is still good
- Sells a good digital brand(s), but is willing to service others too
- DOES NOT SELL within the context of a storefront, tests and readjusts the aids intensively after the sale (this is rarely done properly, in my opinion)
Libbie and her organization answer to all of this very well--I recommend her highly."

"I have been very satisfied with the hearing aids I purchased at Hearing Health Clinic. The service is also superb. The only problems I have had have been caused by myself and Libbie at Hearing Health Clinic has taken care of them immediately. She also cleans them and replaces filters periodically at no charge. It would be hard to live without my hearing aids. If you have hearing problems I would highly recommend Hearing Health Clinic!"
Sincerely, John Nordgaard
“I would love to have the excellent hearing I had as a child, but my hearing aids and the service I receive at the Hearing Health Clinic are a great improvement for this aging senior citizen. I am very pleased and have told many friends of my successful experience with my hearing aids”.
