Hearing Health Clinic :: Hearing Health Clinic Policies

Trial Period:
Washington State law requires that all hearing aids must be dispensed with a 30-day trial period. However, the Hearing Health Clinic believes that 30 days is not always a sufficient enough time to try out a hearing aid. Therefore, we offer a 60-day trial period for our hearing aids.

Return Policy:
All hearing aids dispensed at the Hearing Health Clinic can be returned or exchanged within the 60 day trial period. If hearing aids are returned, Washington State dispensing laws state that the dispensing office can keep a non-refundable professional fee of $150 per hearing aid or 15% of the purchase price, whichever is less. The hearing Health Clinic, however, only charges a non-refundable professional fee of $75 per hearing aid in the event of a return.

Payment:
All hearing aids must be paid in full before leaving the office. We require a 50% deposit upon ordering hearing aids. The remaining balance is due upon fitting. We accept cash, check and most major credit cards. We also offer several 0% financing plans through CitiHealth.

Insurance for Hearing Tests:
We are contracted with most major medical insurance carriers. Please call us to find out if we accept your insurance.

Insurance Benefit for Hearing Aids:
Although most insurance carriers do not offer hearing aid benefit, a few carriers have some hearing aid benefit. It is the responsibility of the patient to check with their insurance company regarding their hearing aid benefit. In the event that the patient has coverage, the Hearing Health Clinic will bill their insurance as a courtesy. Payment in full is still required from the patient. Once payment is received from the insurance company, the patient will be reimbursed this amount.

Worker’s Compensation:
We work with most worker’s compensation plans, including Washington State Labor and Industries, HearPO, Astrum Hearing Solutions, Nationwide Hearing Services, and Sedgwick.
